I’ve come to appreciate the craftsmanship of vintage Japanese acoustics, which rival high-end Martins and Gibsons at a fraction of the cost. Now, I’m taking that passion a step further.

I’m developing my own custom acoustic guitar

—a guitar built with exceptional quality, superior playability, and premium tonewoods, but without the outrageous price tag of today’s big-name brands.

Why I’m Doing This:

I’ve played plenty of guitars, from high-end American models to incredible vintage Japanese acoustics, and one thing is clear: you don’t need to spend $3,000+ to get an amazing guitar.

Many modern guitars are overpriced, mass-produced, and lack the soul of a well-built instrument. I want to offer players something better—a handmade, high-quality acoustic that feels like an heirloom guitar, at an affordable price.

The First Limited Run – Pre-Orders Now Open:

I’m starting small—with just 10 guitars in this first batch. These guitars will be handcrafted by a professional luthier with Indian rosewood backs and sides, spruce tops, and a beautiful dreadnought design inspired by traditional Japanese builds.

Pre-order deposit: $250 (reserves your guitar and helps fund the prototype).

Final price: $1,500 (this includes free shipping to you within the continental US).

Fully refundable? No, but if you change your mind, you can sell your spot to another guitarist.

What Happens Next?

Once the prototype is built, I’ll record a full demo video so you can hear the guitar in action. If all 10 spots fill up, the first batch will go into production. By placing a $250 pre-order deposit for a Charlie Guitar Custom Acoustic, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Non-Refundable Deposit

  • The $250 deposit is non-refundable and secures your reservation for one of the first 10 Charlie Guitar Custom Acoustic guitars.

  • This deposit contributes to the funding of the prototype and initial production run.

  • If you choose not to complete your order, your deposit will not be refunded.

2. Residency Requirement

  • Pre-orders are only available to residents of the continental United States.

  • We do not ship outside the continental US for this initial production run.

3. Payment & Order Completion

  • The total price for the guitar is $1,500, which includes shipping within the continental United States.

  • Your $250 deposit will be deducted from the final price, leaving a remaining balance of $1,250.

  • Once your guitar is ready, you must pay the remaining balance before shipment.

  • Failure to make the final payment within 14 days of notice will result in forfeiture of your pre-order spot without a refund.

4. Transfer of Pre-Order Spot

  • If you decide not to complete your order, you may sell your pre-order spot to another guitarist for equal value ($250).

  • Charlie Guitar does not find replacements for you. It is your responsibility to transfer the spot to another buyer.

  • The new buyer must agree to the same terms outlined in this agreement.

5. Production & Shipping Timeline

  • Production timelines are estimated and subject to change.

  • Customers will be notified of any delays that may affect production or shipping.

  • Once the guitar is completed and final payment is received, it will be shipped to the address provided by the customer.

6. Agreement & Acknowledgment

By checking the box and submitting your deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this agreement. You understand that your deposit is non-refundable, that you are responsible for the final payment, and that you may transfer your reservation if needed.
